[RC] nail in hoof - Paddi

Read Angies post and decided to tell my story.
Years ago my gelding came limping in from pasture. I looked and looked for something then called my neighbour who is a farrier. He started paring sole hit something that really hurt . He pulled out a stick that was through the frog and finished at the heel. This stick was at least a 1/4 thick , covered in puss. It just pulled out no problem at all with a real pussy mess following. He told me to soak the foot and flush the wound. When I squirted water in the wound it came out the heel. I only manged to clean and soak it a couple times. The horse was not making it easy. Within a week I was riding and he was sound. No drugs .
My sons gelding was having his shoes removed about 18 years ago. He kicked out and reared as the farrier was removing the shoe. Came down 3 nails in his right front foot. Soaked the foot for a few days, no drugs. He was running arround the pasture within a week.
