[RC] Is liability insurance just an invitation to get sued? - Ridecamp Guest

Much I have read and heard about torte suits leads me to believe that having liability insurance is an invitation to get sued. My impression is that many, if not most, lawyers are not going to take on a liability suit if there are no 'deep pockets' - someone to pay up the big bucks. Your insurance company is just that. If the bank holds the note on your farm and you don't have big assets they can go after, you are not going to be an attractive target.
