Ridecamp: Re: [RC] Old gelding

We "adopted" two horses, one an arab, one a NSH from an elderly couple
moving to FL for almost free. The purebred has competed in pony club,
dressage, and dabbled in CTR for my 10 year old daughter, and the NSH has
really come along as a CTR mount htis year. I agree, you have to look and
scrutinize, but there are so many horses needing homes that sometimes you
can get a freebie who is more than worth the look.  For their quality,
versatility, manners, and soundness each could have fetched no less than
$2500 maybe over $4000.  So not your 10k class horses, but great family
mounts who have competed and done well for their new owners.
