    [RC] Genuine Risk - Magnumsmom

Genuine Risk actually shows 3 foals in the database:
    1984 Manny Ramirez by Secretariat,
    1993 Genuine Reward by Rahy,
1996 Count our Blessings by Chief Honcho

One of the thoughts on her inability to produce foals
yearly is the use of steroids in race horses and fillys
in particular. None of her foals appear to have raced.
Her foals were just taken from the www.dmtc.com pedigree
webpage. (you can find Magnum there too! He is "Little
Matador", and I added Blue to the all breed...)

Another point atleast on the race track is the quality of
the mare who raises the foal. Personal Ensign is known
to be a very dominant mare and while her foals also tend
towards dominance (a positive factor in picking winners),
there is a gray area about whether that dominance is
genetic or learned behavior or both. There is most likely
a good argument to be made that a foal is not raised by
    genetics alone.

The trend in TB flat racing is recouping costs ASAP which
means brilliant speed at a young age in sprints, not
classic speed and sound and still racing at 6.

Bye the way, Angie, we knew you ment ET when your fingers
    typed "AI". ;-)
