RE: [RC] Slant-loads/head-dropping/shipping fever - Snodgrass, Bonnie

I always use bungee or stretch type trailer ties in my trailers and when I
had my last one built I had extra tie rings put in lower down so the horses
could actually reach way down with their heads. The burgees keep them from
putting a leg over a too long lead rope and lets them back up to the rear of
their stalls to wedge themselves in the back corner. Have doen this now in
two different slant loads with good results.

I think we discussed this before.I was told-probably here-that the horse
MUST be able to drop his head for sinus clearing,on all but very short
hauls.Do the horse manage to do this easily in you-all's slant loads?I was
also told, probably here, that if they always come out of the trailer
blowing/clearing,it means your horses have an unhealthy set-up.Eh?
