That's what natural gardenners do for bug control. They catch a bunch of the bugs and put them in a blender and make bug juice and spray that on their plants. This may sound silly, but my method of keeping deer flies away is to
squish as many as I can and leave them along my horse's neck or on
his face. They can't stand to be around one of their own when it is
dead. I've been doing it for a few years and it seems to repel them.
