Re: [RC] Keeping shoes on horses - Allegra

Maybe you are not looking hard enough for the data.  And we are not talking absolute facts, we are talking trends. Trends are not as easy to get hard data on. As a general horses with Steal shoes on eventually do start seeing the reproductions. Of course this may take years, but it still happens.  If your horses are shoed year round of course they will have the same shoe size providing that your farrier sets the shoes correctly. But tell me, does the shoe size of your horses get larger? Though with proper shoeing you can make the foot spread out. I just don't see how this has any relevance to the question at hand.

Why do you need the shoes Penny? If your horse is wearing down you may be able to just get boots for him/her. If it is something more serious you could always look into plastic shoes. Though I don't have much experience with them my self, couldn't tell you if they work or not.

Hope you get the miracle solution were all looking for,

I've heard that assertion before, but have yet to see any data.
