I honestly don't think this is what happened. I would guess that it was simply a mistake that got out of hand. I listed a rider on our 4/28 ride that actually was on another ride that date. I have also missed riders. It happens. Unfortunately, we have strong personalities to deal with and I think accusing a RM of falsifying records to avoid payment and outright accusing a RM of fraud against the AERC gets a bit over the top. I know I would just say the hell with them all and let them file a protest and let the P&G committee deal with it.

If you don't like Karen and/or Dave fine. But we have people who have never met either of them ranting about them like they are public enemies and out to ruin the AERC. And, by the way, Dave is not the RM, Annie is. And yes, she does make the decisions, etc. He actually rode days of the Cuyama ride. He was not the RM nor was the the official vet. It was also one of the best rides I have gone to in years.

My advice is the same that I give to anyone with a gripe, good or bad. If you feel that strongly about changing one 50 mile ride, file a protest. Otherwise, give it up.....This is getting way out of hand and deteriorating into outright trashing of two people I happen to consider friends........mb
