Oh, well I guess you found a trick that worked! That's great. I know that when I was having trouble with my horse getting into the trailer, I would have the treats and stuff in the front and lure him in with that. But most of the time that didn't work. So I would take him into his pasture and at the gate I would open my arms wide like I would if we were in the trailer and then have him go through. I would do this for a while and so when I got to the trailer I would do that AND HAVE a long dressage whip and just tape his shoulder or his rump. Well, if your other rope trick ever fails, there is one more way that might help.
