    It's not the same on my pad though. It  is much thicker and deeper and has panels along the back. You can feel the differences in thickness along the back. The whole thing is maybe  3/4 inch thick and  thicker along the panels.   The store stuff is the same idea but much lighter and  thinner.  Laurie and Rascal ( renamed Alpo  after yesterdays ride, he's for sale  for .35cents as of yesterday).

    This materials sounds a lot like the stuff they sell at camper supply stores to line your cabinets so the dishes don't slide around when you are moving. Also saw it at Wal-Mart.  Real inexpensive there.
