[RC] re: ponying - Michelle Fink

I got to observe Debbie Ekhaml discover a useful ponying trick - sit on the
pony rope! I made myself a flat cotton web pony line, about 6' long with a
fairly wimpy clip (scissor snap). I have to use a half-seat at the trot or
canter to keep the rope in place. When things get dicey, I sit deep to keep
the ponied horse in position and then can use two hands for my reins. I'm
ponying off my ex-racer, so having two hands on the reins helps!

    Happy trails -
    Michelle
