[RC] Grass Founder?? Hysterectomy?? - Larry McMaster

    Thanks Ridecampers!

To the many people who sent information - sometimes in great detail on
both treating founder, and riding after having a hysterectomy, - a big
THANK YOU!! I saved all of the messages so that I could thank each
person individually, and then lost them due to my hard drive dying.
My mare, Ember seems to be doing quite well off the grass. She has
stopped shifting from foot to foot, and does not put all her weight on
    her hind quarters when turning.
As far as riding after a hysterectomy, all I can say is that female
endurance riders are tough! Most of the women who answered did not even
wait six weeks to get back in the saddle - although they did say they
started with a quiet horse. Thanks to the person who sent the site for
'hyster sisters', and to the woman who has to have the surgery in the
near future, please resend your email and I will try to answer you in
    detail.
    Again, thanks to all.

    Helen McMaster,
    Ontario, Canada
