[RC] An Idea for a "Nurse Mare" for Orphaned Twins - Suvut
Did you ever think about using a goat? In the book "Blessed Are The Foals," they suggest this as an alternative to using an (expensive) nurse mare. The goats are great companions, their milk is very rich, and they don't seem to mind nursing foals. However, you would probably also want to put the orphans with a gentle gelding or older mare (along with the goat) so the babies could learn how to be horses. Just a suggestion.............
