Subject: [RC] Aprilfest in June ride story gone bad

I wrote a story about my ride this weekend - no one was treated despite the heat, there were no rude or uncaring riders it was a wonderful event.  I wanted to tell a GOOD story in light of all the remarks people make focusing on the BAD things that happen.  Instead of seeing that aspect, several people wrote me to ream me out regarding my comment that my horse's head was sticking out of the drop down doors.

For those of you who are wearing those shoes that make you JUMP to conclusions - my horse does not travel with his head out - he sticks it out when we stop, or in this case, were in line at the toll booth.  I know, the story said he rode with his head out, I guess I didn't mean that.  Never once has he had even his nose out during regular forward motion.  I have hauled across this country and back several times- hopefully I can be deemed competent to continue now that I have explained myself.

BTW, it was a wonderful ride with many fabulous caring people.  THAT was the point.
