Ah...as a former QH exhibitor, I get it now!  Ya know, I've always thought
the trend towards training for nose-to-the-ground was really not an
intelligent thing.  That head is on the end of that long neck for a
reason--balance.  It's not meant to be glued to the ground--it's
impractical, unnatural, and IMO, unsafe.  I think the real reason they do it
is to slow down the jog--comfy for riding, but the poor creature can't get
anywhere.  If I want to ride something that studies the ground that closely,
I'll saddle a bloodhound!
