I did not attack Laura Toston or her integrity or disparage her juniors.  I merely pointed out that there was a protest against her last year which, after much investigation, was upheld by the protest and grievance committee.

Also, I feel very strongly about "racing" and "winning" limited distance rides.  I feel there is no such thing.  These rides were started as training rides and have evolved into far more.  This is just my opinion, although it is shared by many in the endurance world.

In addition, I feel that I have the background to speak with a little authority.  Obviously you are not aware of it, since you don't even know my name.  Be that as it may, I have ridden 8,000 endurance miles and probably 6,000 or more with juniors.  Three of my juniors have become national AERC champions and one has far surpassed me by winning BC at Tevis, the Pan American Championship last year and just recently the FEI qualification ride for the World Championships.

I am sorry that you feel that I have attached anyone, I merely pointed out the obvious which will appear in the next EN under the Protest and Grievance report.
