    But it isn't just about you and your head if you are riding in a public 
    place. It's the person that has to come help you, maybe give you CPR, the 
    paramedic that take you to the hospital, the docs and nurse that care for 
    you,  the friends that worry and cry for you. Trust me... having been knocked 
    out myself from a fall...you don't have choices in whose lives you effect 
    while you are unconscious. No one goes and thinks "oh well he said do 
    nothing."
    
    Thank God there are compassionate people that take care of people like you in 
    spite of yourself.
    
    Not doing whatever you can to alleviate potential harm to yourself, (and 
    therefore some grief to others) is extremely selfish.
    
    Of course the above post is null and void if you have no friends or family 
    (which is highly possible), and have an unlimited bank account.
