    [RC] Re:Pulls - CMNewell

While I can see why folks have such an interest in pull ratios, the categorization of same, etc., I'd like to just make an observation from my point of view as a DVM.

Most of the pulls I've been involved with on rides are the result of a rider watching me squint or frown or grunt as I watch a trot out or go over a horse at the hold. Before I even get to the point of making the decision to eliminate the horse the rider has said something along the lines of "If you think there's any sort of problem, I'll pull". Some of these are horses which could, under the rules, continue.

Rarely do I have to actually *tell* someone they're out.

These folks restore my oft sorely tried faith in horse people every time it happens.
