Many of the Crabbet horses were intensely inbred, as well as linebred.
It wasn't uncommon to breed half siblings to each other, and even sons to
mothers. At one time, breeders would brag about "38" crosses to
Skowronek, or Raffles or whomever. That will pretty definitely set a
