This is what I did for my stallion, Ben Nasrif:  Use your CD and keep 
looking up the pedigrees of each ancestor.  Eventually you come back to 
"Desert Bred" and the pedigree stops there.  At that point you have to 
start getting crafty.  Record each of the Desert Bred horse's names and 
then you have to hit the books that the Arabian Horse Trust have - some of 
the editions of the old books written about the days when the Wentworths 
and such were running around Arabia buying horses.  Unfortunately some of 
these books are expensive - would be nice if you could get them through an 
interlibrary loan but don't know if that's possible.  I believe that 
there's a library in Norco CA devoted to horses, or of course you could 
take a trip to Colorado and check out the Trust libarary!  You have to look 
through for each horse's name in the  book of your choice.  It's 
fascinating reading.

Carol Mulder has a series of books out about the foundation horses of the 
Arabian breed as well.

I don't know of any sites on the internet that have this info - I'd love to 
find out about them if they exist!  If you find out a better way of doing 
it than I have done, please let me know!
