Recently, I lost my 20 year old mare named Willow
to colic (she was born on Mothers' Day in 1982). Some really understanding
people have been sending me sympathy cards and some thought that it was my young
arabian mare who passed. Rika (the arab mare) is doing well but misses her
buddy. She hangs out with my goat but is also warming up to my other 2
mares.
Thanks to all those who have sent me emails and
snail mail on this subject. Losing a good equine friend is very,
very difficult.
