[RC] fair warning and good overnight barn - Susan Garlinghouse

Before I totally forget, two other things about road trips this past
week---one, the Utah state patrol troopers are camped out practically every
half mile of the I-15 along the 100 mile stretch south of the I-15/70
junction in Utah. They had people pulled over right and left---might be
partly due to the Memorial Day weekend, but it was the same coming back a
week later. Lots of them along the I-70 stretch going through Richfield and
Salina, too---then hardly saw a one for the rest of the 300 miles home.

Two, if anyone ever needs a place to put their horse(s) overnight around the
Grand Junction/Clifton, CO area, there's a terrific place called Diamond
Rose Ranch http://www.diamondroseranch.com. Very nice, knowledgeable
people, immaculate property with safe, good-sized pens, barn stalls (some
    complete with kittens and/or a brand-new filly!) :-)) , nice grass pasture,
plus a round pen and nice arena. Tons of trailer parking, easy to get to,
nice and secure and totally spotless. The feeders and water troughs looked
like they'd gone through a dishwasher, they were so clean. Very reasonable
prices, $15 which included stuffing Dakota with a half bale of hay. Motels,
gas, restaurants and all that are within 5 minute drive, and there's tons of
gorgeous riding country in the area. Definitely a very good place to keep
in mind as a resource. :-)))
