[RC] passports & papers & things - Susan Garlinghouse

Since there's an existing thread on passports and things, I'll take the
opportunity to pass along a tidbit for anyone traveling through the western
states---I just got back from bringing Dakota home from the trainer's in
California and at both the AZ/Utah border and the Utah/Colorado border,
they're *really* checking out horse's health certificates, date on the
Coggins, brand inspections, etc. Every time I've traveled before, I just
walked into the inspection station office holding an envelope and they waved
me on out. This time they were really looking. I commented on it to the
officer at the counter and he said there were too many people just letting
those things slide and they were starting to crack down.

Fair warning. :-)) I sure wouldn't have wanted to walk in without all my
    ducks in a row.
