| RE: [RC] horse prices? - Bob Morris
 Meat
price is it basic bottom line in horse prices. Anything above that price depends
on performance ability and emotional value. If the horse is not a top contender
then it will not command a price based on ability, therefore you work on
emotion.    You
look for some one in need of a companion animal and base your sales pitch along
that line. List the good points and negate the poor ones. Remember it is a sale
and that takes salesmanship.   Also
consider a gift. (tax deduction) Angie was on the look out for a horse such as
yours for Becky.   Bob   Bob   Bob MorrisMorris Endurance Enterprises

  I need to
sell a horse but have no idea of what a fair price would be. He's AERC #
H26539. 1990 chest arab gelding, about 14 - 14.1, no vices, neckreins and
knows leads, doesn't buck, rear or freak out at ride starts, goes in a hack.
Loads in anything. Probably not a top 10er or 100 miler. His pulls were for a
rump cramp in cold weather, a splint that has never acted back up, and a
pulled leg that was misdiagnosed and he started a ride he shouldn't
have(that's never acted up again either). No metabolic problems. I have nobody
locally to ask since our state has a whopping 4 AERC members. I'm in the
  mid-Atlantic area. NE region.
