Ridecamp: [RC] Eddie

Eddie seemed to be a dumb ass.  I came over the Mt. into the Ft. Valley and saw this truck tilted sideways ready to roll after it flipped...household  articles scattered everywhere Playboy magazines thrown awry. My first thought was   WOW there must have been an accident and they haven't cleaned it up yet.  Eddie was pinned w/ both legs under a F350 flatbed and the  truck was ready to flip onto him and  the people attending to him.  I was the first upon the scene eating my ice cream cone.  My phone had "No Service" but the 911 call was made from down the road.  After the truck was stabalized from tipping onto Eddie and this being a Rural Area the assemblage tried to figure how to extracite Eddie w/out bringing the truck down upon them.  With enough men we pushed the ton truck over and removed his legs.  Eddie had at least major cuts, abrasions, broken legs and ribs and who knows what internal organ damage.  He kept saying..."Oh Lord Please don't let me die"  why do people only approach the Lord when they are in deep poo poo?  Eddies' face was covered in blood and i would never recognize him if i saw him again but the first cop on the scene knew him as an habitual offender.  Eddie was drunk,  speeding and didn't have his seat belt on.  What does Eddie have to do w/ Endurance?  We should all be trained for simple Medical care because we are out in the boonies and NEED to know how to Stabalize someone if and when we come upon something like this.  It could be us or our best friend but if you ever find yourself in a crisis mode it is best to know how to react.  I'm glad no one was in Eddies path as he came down the Mountain and flipped his world backwards and sideways.  Eddie may and most probably will live but what a scene he created.  I did not get to finish my ice cream and left as soon as the truck was rocked off him and he kept saying..."Oh Lord  Please don't let me die..........."  tom sites
