    I measure in hoof prints... As in how amny hoof prints fit in the space between the imprint of the hind foot back to the imprint of the front foot. You are measuring the "dead space" from the back of the hind to the front of the fore.

    After reading the discussion of overstride this week, I was wondering while riding today how it is measured? From the front of each hoof, or the distance between the back of the hind and the front of the fore?
