 I too am having problems with chafing.  I 
started wearing long socks under my tights, which helps some, but I still have 
red rashy legs after I ride a few hours.  Not along the seems, but mostly 
the shins.  It doesn't hurt but it looks awful and takes a few days to go 
away (and by then I'm riding again....). 
  
I do have a wool pad that covers everything to the 
stirrups.  But it doesn't seem to be from rubbing against anything except 
the tights against my legs. 
  
Any suggestions?
