    Very scary situation indeed.  I am not sure what the weight distribution 
    difference is between the Grade 3 and Grade 5 hitches, but I do know that
    the new trailers have sufficiently more tongue weight than the older
    ones.  Our new Sundowner has a tongue weight of 770 pounds and we had to
    upgrade the hitches on all of our rigs when we got it.  You should go to
    the scales and check your tongue weight and be sure you have the correct
    hitch for your trailer (as well as having it correctly installed); do not
    rely on what the dealer has told you it weighs.  It is better to be safe
