Just a thought, my 2c, for what it's worth. I've taught Ibn to walk out with good overreach - it wasn't there initially. It has now become a habit, although there are times when he will take a chance and shuffle along like he used to when first under saddle. When I'm riding with friends, I have to constantly circle back if I don't want to talk to them over my shoulder. However, we do have to trot up when we're with TBs doing a good walk.
