      This is what is so great about endurance...those that
    live for this kind of rush can get their fix and those that
    like a bit less excitment can wait out the rush...calmly go
    back to the trailer, get their horse and trot down the
    trail. When you feel you and your horse are ready, you can 
    gradually up the excitment level and "test" your training 
    by simply changing where you start the ride/race at :)
