[RC] So Cal Arab Auction - Bobbie Brown

Hi Melody....I talked with Rafael Salazar after the auction and asked him
why he was raising the bidding $ on the horses......he said there were 3
people from the killers there...and he would do everything in his power
to keep them out of there hands.
Yes.....the horses went to a ranch in Temecula, Ca.. There is
definitely going tobe another sale on those horses in the near future,
and I will keep Ridecamp up to date on this matter.
Again thank you for your participation in keeping Ridcamp updated as to
the activity on these horses on Tuesday.
Myself and the stable pleaded with Linda Leonard to release info on the
animals, she was very uncooperative.....She turned all those horses to a
trust approximately 4 years ago because she could no longer feed them,
and then the trust could no longer pay their board. The board
exceeded 40K The barn at that time (4 years ago) was under
different management) did not do a background check on this woman.
Before she arrived at the Bisentennial Stables she literaly moved all but
2 horses in the middle of the night after she ran up a 10K board bill at
the Woodland stables just a few miles away, and before that she had them
in pasture (free rent as I herd it) at a friends place in
Riverside.....ran out of money to feed them and some of them died from
starvation then turned around and turned her friend in to animal control.
Before that she was in Norco, Ca., same MO.....but this time all the
horses went to animal control and Linda was able to talk her way in to
get them released back into her care. I heard of other storys about her
to that cover some of the east coast, and parts of Northern Cal, and the
    has an arrest record.
Her goal was to have these horses kept together with no breeding program,
riding, and to have someone else (whoever that my be) pay their board,
    and free lifestyle for her.
I became acquainted with her in 1998 at the Bisentennial Stables, and
Linda told me of her long term goals (I listened but did not agree)
It is very sad the way this ended.
