[RC] What a ride! - amber applegate

Well folks, I did it. I got to ride a TWH Stallion that does it all. OMG! He
is "Go Boy's Windwalker" owned by Nya Rutherford in Grants Pass. He is a
consecutive, Mult- National Plantation Champion. Winning the National in
'82,'83,'84' 85, and maybe one or more years, can't remember.

What a ride! Put him in a walk, flatfoot, Running walk, Rack, canter, and
that Rocking Chair Canter. Rode him out in one of those little pancake
saddles, and sat just as smooth as silk. This is the first time I have
ridden a seasoned Gaited horse, and it was wonderful. This guy is 22 and
just glided me though the trails like a youngster.

I now know that Cruiser does a Rack. I have been wondering about it, and now
I know for sure that he is. He certainly is not smooth like Windwalker, but
he is also just a baby.

Tomorrow, Nya and I are going to Eugene and Salem to look at a couple of
horses that I am hoping for future endurance. One is a 6 year old mare that
supposedly has tons of get up and go. She is broke for riding and set in her
gaits. The other is a two year old Gelding with Merry Go Boy top and bottom.

So that was my great day. How was yours?
