Beth, a couple of requests.

Fist, please turn off HTML encoding on your messages to mail lists.
This is e-mail, not a web page.  HTML may be okay in business e-mail
where you are sure your recipient is using an HTML mail reader, but on
a mail list you can be certain that many readers will not be able to
read your HTML messages.  I usually just skip over HTML-coded messages
without reading them rather than wade through all the tags and extra
characters.

Second:  chill.  I loved Karen's story, and I doubt that anyone at the
ER was offended, so why are you?
