    Beth:

Do you think that landing on her head had anything to do with it?  And you know I am not sure that she is all that undemented (spell check wanted to change that to unfermented! does spell check know something we do not know of????) yet. Karen entitled the posting <<</endurance is not for snivelers>>> and yet there she was sniveling to the ER staff! A true Endurance Stoic would not have gone to the ER until the ride was over.

All in fun Karen, hope you are back in the saddle soon. Many of us know what you are going through so you do actually have a slight bit of sympathy. Not a lot but some.

Gee lets get the violins out. The hospital staff didn't want to play endurance ride. That girl was obviously incredibly rude, and thought it was really funny that she was that way.  She clearly didn't know that what the hospital staff was doing was entirely appropriate. Hell, I woulda started the IV in her foot. We do that too, when someone has damaged upper extremities.  Why would "Nurse Rachett" be so slow in giving a pain shot? Well maybe Dr. Stupid was evaluating her neurological status? Sometimes when people have head injuries (like the kind that require many stitches in the face), they don't get pain medicine until a full neurological exam is done. That's what Doctors do. Nurses don't give the narcotics until the Doc agrees it's okay. Good thing the sniveler wasn't running her own care.  I think that girl got better than what she deserved.   Beth
