having had an opportunity :) to sell a terrific mare overseas a few years ago, we chose not to, even though the price would have bought a new car, trailer and set aside some $$ for our daughters' college. Well, we eventually got teh car, a trailer, and our daughters will go to college - and the mare stayed here where she belonged. Someday I hope to buy her back from the nice people who have her. I never forgot her - got a LOT less money for her - but she is safe and sound!
