Re: [RC] handheld heart monitors - JUDYK89

My farrier puts Mississippi Bell Boots on our horses, they work great especially right after you put shoes on and there's a little shoe behind the fronts.  They are easy to make, and you keep them on all the time.  You get a piece of foam, about 4 or 5 inches long, about I" wide, maybe 1/2" thick.  Put it on a piece of duct tape (the cheap kind that stick great) and tape it to the back of your horses heels.  Squish the tape around the foam a little so it doesn't go under the foot or in the hair along the heels.  You just wrap a couple pieces of tape around and retape as needed.  It keeps them from stepping off shoes, and gives a little cushion to keep from banging heels on rocks etc.  Hope I described it so you know what I'm talking about, it really helps.
