Re: snow and bitter climates

I bought a silk turtleneck this year and have found it to be really useful.  I wore it at the Carolina 100 when we started out in the chilly morning and i wasn't sure how the weather would turn out.  The silk is warm, but not hot when it got warmer.

A silk bandana arround your neck makes all the difference. I was given one as a gift and can't believe how warm it is.
I am now sewing a silk bag for inside my winter sleeping bag. Must be silk not a blend or synthetic fabric.
