Non refundable ride fees

In response to your post about non-refundable ride entry fees: Please reply privately to my email address and I'll put you on the mail list for Texas Bluebonnet Classic/IAHA Region 9 Championship endurance ride. The ride will be held at LBJ National Grasslands near Decatur, Texas on April 7, 2001(Central Region) . We do not require an up front fee nor do we charge a late fee for any entry. We do ask that prospective entrants just fill out the entry form and send it back (sans money) to allow us to decide how many vets might be needed. Heck, we have been running this ride since 1992 and are always rewarded by the number of riders who come back each year. In the vein of "walk a mile in the other man's shoes" each ride manager must decide how they can best preserve their ride and I would be the last person to complain about a non-refundable fee. What works for me in the Central Region possibly will not work for someone in another region.
