Goethe

I just wanted to say I had a great time at Goethe.  We didn't compete, but I did take Mazzy on some trail rides.  I was very pleased at how she handled all of the comotion.  Helping the vet by writing down the condition scores was educational and fun.  It was nice meeting all of you, Becky, and Howard, and Truman, and Karen, and lots of other people.  A big thanks to Lisa for taking us up there and supplying a tent and food.  I can't wait to actually ride an LD.  I figure we'll be ready in about 3 months.  Waking up in the dark with the 100 milers and seeing them throughout the day, and then passing through camp at night when I was pooped gave me an idea of the enormity of undertaking a 100 miler.  I mean, I was exhausted, just from helping out and trail riding, and being active all day.  I can only imagine how they felt.  The vet that I was helping was nice enough to look at my horse, and said she liked her and thought she would do well.  Now I just have to get a saddle that fits her.  Truman showed me how mine is not fitting her back.   Well anyway, hope to see you all on the trails again.
