Ray,

The RP and the OF are fundamentally different in that respect. The panel in
the RP is in contact with the saddle tree in the middle of the tree where it
bends, whereas the OF tree is suspended away from it. The OF trees seems to be
thicker than the RP. The tree in the RP is a standard English spring tree.

There is very little difference in the contact with the RP and a regular
English saddle.
