Northern Alliance horses

Last night on the news (maybe O'Reilley Factor), an army general recognized the Northern Alliance for a successful raid on the Tailban - Using Their Bedouin Arabian horses!
The Army General said they were supplying feed to the Northern Alliance for their horse army - (war mares?)
Anyone heard any more details about this?
