We offered a 75 along with Swanton Pacific 100 for the first time this year.
It was very successful and there were no undue problems.  I would say the
main "problem" would be whether the trail course offered a uncomplicated way
to shorten the trail to 75.  For us it was quite simple.  We did two
shortcuts of the 100 mile trail, used the same vet checks until the next to
last, then took the 75s back to camp a short way; meanwhile, the 100s went
on to one more vet check.  We plan on doing the same thing next year, as it
was a very popular event.
