Help! Girth Sores

My second mare-the one I have not been riding as much, but am trying to get
more in shape is getting girth sores. I have used neoprene, mohair and
sheepskin. Every time we go out she gets another sore within about 2 hours.
Any suggestions, or tips on how to prevent? I'm at my wits end and have no
desire to make this mare miserable every time we go out.
I use a western type saddle with center fire rigging, but it happened with
my new synergist with the mohair dressage girth with the leather protector
as well.
