Re: Question on bit hangers

Jennifer,

I use either a hackamore or a Kimberwick bit with my combo headstall. Both work just fine with a little adjusting of the bit hangers.

Subject: RC: Question on bit hangers

Thanks for all the great recommendations on halter bridles everyone!

I have another question.  I see two types of removable bit hangers.  The
kind that attach on the side of the cheek pieces, and the kind that go
all the way up and around the horse's poll, more like a conventional
bridle would be.

I see all these halter bridles modeled with snaffle bits.  I ride in a
curb bit with about a 1" purchase above the bit and then, of course,
shanks below.  Do shanked bits work okay with bit hangers?  And would
one type work best over the other (over-the-poll type vs. cheek piece
hangers)?

Thanks!

Jennifer
