RE: Owhyee High Country

Steph What had you been drinking to dream of RAIN? What is that stuff? Been
so long since we have seen any. We are more than three inches below normal.
That is 40% below normal!!! Hope you have enough water. If you need some
extra water troughs let us know and we will round some up. As to what goes
in them, hope your well stays wet.

Wondered where the smoke was coming from this morning. Don't smell it now
and hope it stays that way. Five years ago this time we almost got burned
out. The NIFC foamed out barn. It was spectacular with the horses running in
front of the fire that night. Don't need that again. Hardest job is putting
out the burning fence posts and then replacing them.

Stay dry and it is safe in the black.

Bob

Woke this morning (dawn) to a visit from the local rancher. Pretty big range
fire burning west of here - big black clouds of smoke, thick in the air.
Looked worse than it was - actually 15 miles from here - and pretty well
contained by now. Still smoky, but clearing.

The good news is that the weather forecast for Saturday is perfect - high of
84, low of 48 (today it's near 100, so this is much much better). Sunny as
usual.

Rusty - I'll ask around, but don't know of any pro-bi dealers in the area. I
can probably pick something up at the local feed/ranch store though in case
you can't find anything else. Let me know.

We're mostly ready... a little more trail to mark, maps to print,
miscellaneous stuff. Mostly looking good at this point. I had the classic
ride manager's dream yesterday morning: heard commotion outside, it was
dark, horses and people milling around. Damn - forgot that the ride was
today. Got folks organized, realized it had rained all night and I'd have to
change the first loop. Sent them through the living room and up the stairs
to get started. Then realized nobody had registered and they didn't have any
maps. Started walking down the road to get the maps and realized I didn't
have my pants on ... does it get any worse?? :)

I am wondering if there are any dealers of Pro-bi coming to Owhyee High
Country? If so I would like to make an order. Please let me know and thank
you for your time.
