RC:Loosing riding trails (Used to be protest rally, kinda off topic)

As one who is involved with politics here in my county and in my state,
I can tell you all the one thing that WILL kill our riding in our forests
is COMPLACENCY! If you do not stand against such things, as Howard said
you WILL loose your rights. I live down here in Florida, or I would be
involved.
The biggest problem facing fighting this stuff is to get people
involved. I am fighting something that everyone is against, raising
taxes, yet few if any are willing to do the work it takes to stop this
stuff. This is relevant to those on this list. If we loose in one state,
other states will pick up. You think you are safe cause you are in a
large "horsey" state? Think again.
We are having a real battle across the nation to keep our second
amendment rights alive. Even in "gun" states. If we can loose something
guaranteed in our constitution and our Bill of Rights, we can loose the
"privilege" of riding in our own forests. (BTW those same forests are
paid for through taxes on ALL ammunition including hand gun ammunition,
and hunting and fishing licenses. Camping equipment brings in only a
fraction of what these taxes bring in. How are they going to replace the
money they loose if they ban guns? Well, tax the horse riders, the
hikers, but of course they will also limit the amount and type of
activity you do on those trails in the name of keeping costs down.)
Please if you live near, or can get to PA. and you ride those trails
write letters. Call the Congressmen, the Senate and the Governor. Let
them know just how many out of state people actually use those trails. If
they see how much out of state money they are brining in, it might help.
States love tourists! My state does! :0)
