Ticklish vs. Sore

Title: Ticklish vs. Sore

Just want to say up front, that I have an EBW certificate from Equinology.  (Equine Body Worker). Not that it makes me the ultimate expert, but I know what you are saying.

It does takes specific pressure in specific spots along the back to determine soreness.  Bare fingers should be used and no poking!

Applying pressure behind the rump is a common “butt tuck” exercise to remind the horse to round his back,  and my equine chiropractor showed me this technique to do as part of my horse’s routine care.  The horse would tuck most of the time, and if he doesn’t or he does it more on one side or another, then maybe something’s amiss (or you just didn’t get the right “spot!”).
