I haven't read all the post yet so if this is a repeat just ignore it. The best thing I've found is a grooming block. Looks like a small oven-cleaning brick if you know what those are. Works great. I put it
to the test once -- my gelding had been used by a junior for a ride where we did a horse camp before. the kids got bored one night and drew all over the horses. Still there a week later and I realized I had a
parade to do! Had him clean in 5 minutes. Now the halter that he rubbed on the tree where they kids had taken the "skin" off of the crayons was a different story. Finally wore off 2 years later...
