 You don't need it.  Mine didn't bother me, but I rode through it.  I
don't ride with the buckels down at ankle level like everyone else.  I
keep it just below my knee above my calf, and have the buckle on the
saddle side with the rough side turned towards my knee.  Eats up the side
of my saddle, but I never feel *anything* touching my leg when I've got
it right.

Unless the situation is changed, I think they said they'd be mass
producing saddles in Arkansas, but still making custom saddles in MO.
