Re: gophers



You could try getting ahold of that guy in Colorado with the giant vacuum
cleaner....He drives around and sticks the hose down their holes and sucks
them out into the giant canister, then goes and sets them free in the
untouched gopher wilderness (or so he tells the gopher-huggers) ;0)  A
rancher friend of ours hired a couple of kids to kill them (with guns) He
paid them 5 cents per gopher ...the boys brought him the little fuzzy gopher
tails as proof....The next spring our friend noticed that there were twice
as many gophers as the year before and half of them didn't have any tails?
Turns out the kids were trapping them...cutting off there tails and setting
them loose on the theory that they would reproduce and there would be even
more tails for the taking!
